2008-Nov-25 - Isn't It Hard To Say

Never imagined you will come around to my side since we have not yet known each other until the summer of last year.
In spite of that in front of you,I was all the time trying my utmost to show my conciderate concern about you, every moment I spent with you lasts a happy ending, however,I made up my mind to tell you that I am not willing to miss you,and my heart slightly beat once after my melting states.
I can still remember the day you came to call on me, I wore a blue shirt with a black tie, you were wearing a pink blouse. We had a wonderful conversation throughout the afternoon.I have not forgotten any tiny detail concerning you during those hundreds of days. What I should appreciate for my life are those the gifts you sent to me,I have been cherishing them, some of them like biscuits,I never tasted a slice.
For days you have gone to a fabulous place,Guilin,Guangxi province.I am always worrying about your condition and situation there, this morning,I gave you a call, got through, even though you missed it,I have wiped my worries out.
Keep in good proportion and a shining smile, own your own desire to struggle for a cosy life.I am about to attend a class of Brand Management.Believe in or not,you are the best !

2008-Oct-16 - Beauty Slept In Sodom

Herodias and I have led a phantom cavalcade
Through veiled and pagan history where superstitions reigned
And Christendom sought to pervert, but poets of my name
Sang of penumbral victories that sorcery had claimed
The Graal and mighty Caliburn as votive offerings
To an England rearisen under vast majestic wings
These are the shores whereto my soul
Blood drenched and unredeemed
Shalt seek solace in secrets told
Through the whispers of a dream
From the woods Pendragon-born, I rose Arcturius
A proud, audacious King mantled in the
vehemence of lust
Death and destiny undaunted me, I drew a throne divided
In awe of the glorious battles won, my dark Goddess provided
Then treachery, a wingless beast, came crawling to my court
And now I lie at cursed Camlann, from wounds a traitor wrought
I fear the Augean light
is sweeping through Camelot
How bittersweet my triumphs seem,
now Autumnal leaves succumb to frost
Morganna art thou near me?
Languid, I wend my path to grave
Cast my sword to the sulphyd grasp
Of the naiad neath the silvered lake
When waters stirred lay silent
Mistress let the mists descend
Thy tears cannot thaw Death's cold heart
His sombre gaze defies legend
More so than thine, else thy dew-lidded eyes
Art for the Banshees song
Or our souls entwined like vein upon
The haunted shores of Avalon
The haunted shores of Avalon
Bury me in velvet dream
Lest I unduly wake
And seek to reconcile my thirst
With the cowardly tailors of my fate
Unleash mastiffs of snarling night
To overthrow, plague and burn
As slumber lures me 'mongst the dead
To scheme of my return
Archaic ghostly echoes breathe like thunder of the storm
A tempest fools miscall divine as they crouch awaiting dawn
Their ignorance has forged for me over
centuries a sword
Burnished to flash like lightning on the precipice of war
The wolves are dead in Albion whilst the
passive flocks roam free
This my penetrant spearhead shalt pierce these foul,
trespassing breeds

2008-Oct-16 - The greatest triumph from a loser

It is hard to believe that the death of 300 Spartan soldiers in ancietn Greece might have saved democracy and Western Civilization as we know it. But that’s what many historian believe. In ancient times, two kings fought a long and costly battle where the losers won the war. The pass at Thermopylae is the famous battle; Darius and Leonidas were the two kings.
Darius, the Persian king, entered Greece with an army of over 250,000 men. His goal was to add Greece and Europe to his huge empire. Leonidas, one of the Spartan Kongs proposed to lead the Spartan army to block the pass at Thermopylae. The plan was to hold the Persian off until the Greeks could form a larger force. The secong Spartan king, whom history has mostly forgotten, refused. Such a march would disrupt the religious festival they were all observing. Undaunted, Leonidas marched his personal guard of 300 elite troops day and night until they reached the pass. They were heavily outnumebered by the Persians.
The fighting was horrendous as wave after wave of Persians tried to overrun the Spartan position in the pass, but they were unprepared for the formidable spartan soldiers,Spatans were raised to return with their shields or carried home dead upon them. A single Spartan soldier was equal to ten Persian warriors. The number of Persians dead or dying on the battlefield was a reflection of the Spartan superiority,Unfortunately, for the Spartans, the persians found a goat path around the pass and cut off the Spartans, trapping them inside the pass.Leonidas and all of the Spartans died, but at a terrible cost to the Persians. After several days of fierce fighting ,so many of the Persian soldiers were dead or wounded that many survivors deserted rather than continue with the campaign. Darius could not afford to continue his campaign with such demoralized .He withdrew and returned home to Persia.

What might have happened had Leonidas not stopped Darius is purely speculation ,but many believe Darius would have marched right through Greece, conquering every city_state in his path to Europe.Eventually,he might have conquered much,if not all,of Europe.A persian victory at Thermopylae would have meant the death of Greece, and the death of democracy. But that's not what happened. Even thought Leonidas and all his men were dead ,Darius returned home and he never returned,Beacuse of Theomopoly, democarcy is both our history and our furture -thanks to Leonidas and 300 brave men.

    2008-Sep-17 - Young people's health problem

    Young people's health problem

Now many people find that a lot of students have health problems including short sight and obesity.
A survey conducted in 2006 shows that more than three quarters of senior high students in the country are short sighted and the figure for college students hit 83 percent.A recent data report form Ministry of Education,8 percent of urban Chinese children between the ages of 10 and 12 are obese, while another 15 percent are overweight.
There many reasons for the young people's health problem, such as homework mount, seats arrangement and sleeping hours. As we all know, the students have a lot of homework to do.More homework means less sleepint hours. So how coule we expect them to do more exercise in that situation. At the same time, the city full of crowds and modern architecture. It does not have enough room for playing and exercise. And also one family only has one child.      Considering of the child's security ,the parents don't let the child play outside.
What we can do with the problems is that the school and family encourage students to do more exercise and have less academic burden. Also we can provide scientific nutrition formula for the young people.

    2008-Jun-27 - Women's Secret 1

This article is only for woment's eyes. If you are not, please skip this page and hit the next one.

Don't accuse me of being cynic, I just got fed up with these stories----- no matter how independent and intelligent they used to be , many, many women degrade to lose themselves by centering around their husbands after getting married. Unfortunately, no man would like to have a shadow as his wife, even a chauvinist. SO, listen carefully to the following eight rules, and don't wait until you are dumped and cry your heart out.

    ONE:

You may fail to do the household chores, but you must not fail to spend money.

Reason: Your husband can't find a mistress to do the chores, but more likely he would find one to spend his money.

    TWO:

You may not wear makeup, but you must not live without a set of makeup products.

Reason: Wearing no make-up probably because you don't want your natural beauty being ruined by the cosmetics, but having no make-up products means that you have never prepared yourself well for the social life.

    THIRD:

You may not like to shop around, but you must not dislike shopping

Reason: You don't like to shop around because you are a grow-up and have your own taste in shopping; but if you don't like shopping, you must have no creative ideas, and no zest for the life.

    Four:

You may not bring home bread and butter, but you must have a career.

Career here include freelance and charity service. You get paid because you are capable; while you don't get paid because you are benevolent. your social statue decides your statue in the family. Don't believe men's lies about “Come home, I can provide for you.” He is going to raise you up to a stay-at-home wife them ditch you.

    2008-Apr-17 - Putuo Mountain

Putuo Mountain, one of the Four Holy Buddhist Mountains, covers an area of 12.5 square kilometers. The highest peak, the Fudingshan Mountain is 300 meters high above the sea level. Temples, monasteries, nunneries are spread all over  the  mountain. According  to  the  annals  of  Putuo Mountain, after the construction of "Unwilling-to-go" Guanyin Temple, people began to build up temples in large scales. The remained ten ancient architecture complex and historical sights were built in Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing. Putuo Mountain once had 82 temples, 128 huts, accommodating 4,000 monk and nuns at its heyday. When you walk on the paths, you probably can come across monks in kasaya. The glorious sceneries as well as the glamour concerned with Buddhism make it a sacred mountain.

Puji Temple, Fayu Temple, and Huiji Temple are the three largest in the twenty temples in Putuo. Puji Temple, covering 11,000 square meters, was first built in Song Dynasty, and is the main temple devoted to the Goddess of Guanxin. Fayu Temple was first built in Ming. It sits along the mountain with different layers on it. Numerous large trees stand in the mountain, qualify the temple for a quiet and deep place. Huiji Temple is on the Foding Peak, so gets a name after that, Foding Peak Temple.

Bizarre rocks and queer cliffs can be seen everywhere. The most famous twenty are Qingtuo Rock, Rock of Two Tortoises Listening to Preaching, Rock of Buddhist Heaven on Sea, etc. Along the line where the mountain connects with the sea, many spectacular caves are very attractive. Chaoyin Cave and Fanyin Cave are the two top ones.

2008-Feb-29 - If the Dream is Big Enough

If the Dream is Big EnoughI used to watch her from mykitchenwindow, she seemed so small as she 1)muscled her way throughthecrowd of boys on the playground. The school was across thestreetfrom our home and I would often watch the kids as theyplayedduring recess. A sea of children, and yet to me, she stoodout fromthem all.

I remr the first day I saw her playing basketball.Iwatched in wonder as she ran circles around the other kids.Shemanaged to shoot jump shots just over their heads and into thenet. The boys always tried to stop her but no one could.

I begantonotice her at other times, basketball in hand, playing alone.Shewould practice 2)dribbling and shooting over and overagain, sometimes until dark. One day I asked her why she practicedsomuch. She looked directly in my eyes and without a momentofhesitation she said, "I want to go to college. The only way Icango is if I get a scholarship. WOW Gold WOW Gold WOW Gold Kaufen I like basketball. I decided thatifI were good enough, I would get a scholarship. I am going toplaycollege basketball.

I want to be the best. My Daddy told me ifthedream is big enough, the facts don't count." Then she smiledandran towards the court to 3)recap the routine I had seen overandover again.Well, I had to give it to her—she was determined.Iwatched her through those junior high years and into highschool.Every week, she led her 4)varsity team to victory. One day inhersenior year, I saw her sitting in the grass, head cradled inherarms. I walked across the street and sat down in the coolgrassbeside her. Quietly I asked what was wrong. "Oh, nothing,"came asoft reply. "I am just too short."

The coach told her that at5'5"she would probably never get to play for a top ranked team—muchless offered a scholarship—so she should stop dreamingaboutcollege. She was heartbroken and I felt my own throat tightenas Isensed her disappointment. I asked her if she had talked to herdadabout it yet.She lifted her head from her hands and told methather father said those coaches were wrong.

They just didnotunderstand the power of a dream. He told her that if shereallywanted to play for a good college, if she truly wantedascholarship, that nothing could stop her except one thing — herownattitude. He told her again, "If the dream is big enough, thefactsdon't count."The next year, as she and her team went totheNorthern California Championship game, she was seen by acollege5)recruiter.

She was indeed offered a scholarship, a fullride, toa Division I, 6)NCAA women's basketball team. She was goingto getthe college education that she had dreamed of and workedtoward forall those years. It's true: If the dream is big enough, the factsdon't count.
